What This Actually Is
A room for the
real question.
Every Thursday at 7 PM Eastern, I open a room for highly accomplished women whose lives may look successful from the outside, but who have started asking different questions on the inside.
Maybe nothing is wrong. You may still be exceptional at what you do. You may be proud of the career and life you've built.
And you may also know that something in you is asking for something different.
You don't have to diminish everything you've accomplished to take that seriously.
Bring that into the room.
The Questions
Maybe you've been
asking them too.
Is this still the life I want?
You can be grateful for the life you built and still recognize that the woman you are now wants something different from the woman who built it twenty or thirty years ago.
Who am I when the roles that defined me begin to change?
For decades, you may have known exactly who you were in relation to your work, your family, your responsibilities, or the people who needed you. When those roles shift, the question isn't simply what you will do next. It can become: Who am I now?
What do I actually want when I stop making the responsible decision?
You have spent years knowing how to make the smart decision, the practical decision, the decision that takes care of everyone and keeps everything moving. But what happens when the question becomes not what makes the most sense, but what do I want my life to feel like now?
What if the thing I want next looks nothing like the life I built?
Maybe it is creative. Maybe it changes where you live, how you work, how much you work, who gets your time, or what your days look like. The next chapter does not have to be a logical extension of the last one.
What am I going to do with the life that's still in front of me?
Maybe you've already given thirty years to a career. Maybe the career chapter has ended. Maybe you're approaching a transition you once thought would feel like the destination. And now you're realizing: there is still a lot of life here. What do I want it to become?
From the Room
What women are saying.
“
Since 2005 I have wanted to become a Developer, but there was always something I convinced myself had to happen first. I no longer am allowing fear to dictate my life.
Lisa
“
I will deliberately work to silence that voice that says: this is not for you, too big for you, wait for a better time. It is time for me to say, “Yes, I can do this,” and work towards that yes.
Michele
“
Now I think about how I will promote my business, how I will get others to see the importance of owning a home, what it takes to reach all who are in need, and how I can make their life better.
Emogene
“Thanks for inviting me to this Circle of great stewardship.”
